Lela Louise Pulver, 93, of Macon, Georgia formally of the Trenton Community, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the Coliseum Park Hospital in Macon, Georgia.
Memorial Services have been set for 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Trenton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeffrey McPheron officiating. Burial will be in the Edwards Cemetery at Oakville, Iowa. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Trenton United Methodist Church. Beatty Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is assisting with the arrangements.
Lela was born June 12, 1910 in Oakville Iowa the daughter of Frank and Hilda (Bjork) Swan. On February 15, 1920 she was united in marriage to Louis L. Pulver in Wapello, Iowa.
Her and her husband operated the Pulver General Store in Trenton for 45 years. She was a member of Trenton United Methodist Church, Ladies Legion Auxiliary, Republican Women and the United Methodist Women. The last eleven years she resided with her daughter in Macon, Georgia.
Survivors include daughter Joyce Swallum and husband Phil of Macon, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Harold, Oscar and Arnold, four sisters, Ruby, Mabel, Evelyn and Myrtle.
