Lee Miller

October 13, 1953 — October 18, 2022

Lee Miller, 69, of Kalona, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital. His body has been cremated and a memorial celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the service on Saturday. A memorial fund has been established for the Iowa Donor Network.

Lee Miller was born October 13, 1953, the son of Albert C. and Mary V. (Yoder) Miller.  He attended Washington Township school and was self-employed as a mechanic and handyman. Lee was united in marriage to Judy Fairbrother in Clarion, Iowa, in 1976. He enjoyed shooting pool, working on projects in the neighborhood, fishing and playing with the grandkids. Lee was an avid Hawkeye and Cub fan.

Survivors include his wife Judy of Kalona, two daughters:  Jodie (Greg) Mesa of Monument, CO, Jennie (Andrew) Shalla of North Liberty, six grandchildren: Briana, Christian, Wyatt, Danica, Anthony and Caleb, six siblings: Wes (Connie) Miller, Ernie Miller, David (Joyce) Miller, Eldora (Wayne) Miller, Carol (Nathan) Gingerich, Lola (Steve) Wengerd and sister-in-law Cheryl Miller, and companion Rubie.

Preceding Lee in death were his parents, two brothers: Duane and Ken, a stillborn sister, and a sister-in-law Edie Miller.
