Laurine Schlabaugh

Laurine J. Schlabaugh, 97, of Wellman, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Parkview Manor in Wellman. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Wellman Public Cemetery.  A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, December 30 from 2 - 4PM at the Goodwin Senior Dining Center in Wellman.

A memorial fund has been established for the Goodwin Senior Dining Center.

Laurine Josephine Schlabaugh was born April 28, 1920 in Iowa County, the daughter of Yost and Josephine (McArtor) Yoder. She was united in marriage to Don Schlabaugh in Iowa City on February 10, 1943.

Laurine was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law: Madena Schlabaugh and Lois Schlabaugh both of Wellman, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Laurine in death were her parents, her husband Don, her daughter Donna Karns, one brother Walter Yoder and four sisters: Luva Jones, Mary Bontrager, Elsie Slaubaugh, and Vera Gascho.
