Kimberley Jean Lane, 42 of Wayland, died Sunday, March 9, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics following a long struggle with cancer.
A celebration of her life will be 7:30 PM Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Bethel Mennonite Church with her brother Darren officiating. Her body has been cremated and will be scattered at a later date. Beatty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. A memorial in the name of Kimberley Jean Lane has been established to her family.
Kimberley was born October 7, 1965 in Yakima, Washington the daughter of Leonard Edward Brown, adopted mother Dora Elizabeth Wynn and biological mother LaVonne Rae Smith.
She moved to Wayland four years ago to live with her family. Kimberley was raised in Idaho and Wyoming and was a CNA at various nursing homes around the country.
Survivors include her mother LaVonne Rae Smith of Wayland, father Leonard Edward Brown of Kooski, ID; children Naomi Lusher and husband Jason of Wayland, Rachael Unternahrer and husband Lee of Wayland, Charles McCalister of Kooski, ID and Stephen McCalister of Wayland; brothers Mark Anthony Brown of Spokane, WA Darren Ray Brown of Wayland and Brian Keith Brown of Kooski, ID and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her adopted mother Dora Elizabeth Wynn, brothers Richard Edward Brown and Bradley Everett Brown and daughter Stephanie.
