A celebration of life for Kevin D. Miller, 23, of Kalona will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fairview Church in rural Kalona, with Pastors Perry L. Miller, Leon Stutzman and Conrad Hertzler officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24, from 10 am – 8:30 pm at the Fairview Church. A general memorial fund has been established. Kevin D. Miller died Friday, May 20, 2016 as the result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Kevin Douglas Miller was born May 10, 1993 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Lloyd and Arlene (Mast) Miller. He graduated from Pathway Christian School and attended Kirkwood Community College. Kevin was employed as a truck driver for Slabaugh Trucking and was a member of the Fairview Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, trucking, and being with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and Arlene Miller of Riverside, four siblings: Jerome Miller of Riverside, Amy Jo Miller and fiance' Tyler Parry of Arvada, CO, Hannah Miller of Iowa City, and Shaun Miller of Riverside. Also surviving Kevin is his paternal grandfather, Joe Miller, Jr. of Kalona and many uncles, aunts and cousins, including his aunt and "second mother" Dorothea (Garry) Kueneman of Kalona and "adopted" sister Kacy Leyba of Arvada, CO.
Preceding Kevin in death were his maternal grandparents: David and Eldora Mast, paternal grandmother, Erma Miller and his uncle Merle Mast.
