He'd worked for Schwan's for 12 years, first as a route driver and most recently as a facility manager. He was a member of New Oaks Church of the Nazarene and served in many capacities. He had run AV equipment, made announcements, sang on the worship team, wrote and acted in skits and radio ads, was on the Creation Station children's ministry drama team, and served as board member and missions president. He also served several years as a youth camp counselor. Growing in his relationship with Christ and spending time with his wife and children were the most important things to him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gun collecting and was a lifelong member of the NRA. He had a black belt in ATA Taekwondo where he was an assistant instructor and the 2001 state champ. He also enjoyed singing, classic TV and movies, was an avid reader, enjoyed talking with people, and had a great sense of humor.
