Kenneth Swan Noble, 89 of Washington, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the New Boston Cemetery in New Boston, IL. Open visitation will be from Noon to 6:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2015 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial in the name of Kenneth S. Noble has been established to the American Red Cross.
Kenneth was born June 17, 1925 near New Boston, IL the son of Warren and Alma (Swan) Noble. He was united in marriage to Majorie Wygle on August 1, 1951 in Clarksville, IA. He served in the Air Force during WW II and worked 25 years for the Monroe Calculating Machine Co., selling and servicing business machines in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota. He later took over management of his parents farms in SE Iowa.
He volunteered at the Heifer Project in Arkansas several times and enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad.
Survivors include his wife Majorie of Washington, son William Noble and daughter Lou Ann Hayford, both of Bloomington/Normal, IL; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia and an infant daughter.
