Kenneth “Kenny“ Paul Greiner, 75 of Brighton, died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home in Brighton.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 AM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Anthony DeVaughn officating. The service will be livestreamed on the Beatty-Peterseim Facebook page and YouTube Channel. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Beatty Funeral Home with family present from 4-6:00PM. A general memorial in the name of Kenneth Paul Greiner has been established.
Kenny was born April 13, 1948 in Fairfield, IA the son of Joseph Albert and Treva Rebecca (Philips) Greiner. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1967 and was united in marriage to Donna Jean Hill, April 7, 1973 in Fairfield.
He was employed with Hy-Vee for 30 years in the bakery, Orscheln‘s in Washington and also drove a school bus. He received the FFA American Farmer Degree in High School and was a previous city councilman in Washington. He enjoyed Nascar, Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes, being a member of the official chain gang for football games, raising and judging rabbits and camping.
Survivors include his wife Donna of Brighton, sons, Lonnie (Melody) Greiner of Fairfield and Scott Greiner of Brighton; granddaughter Macy; brothers, Tom Greiner of Lockridge, IA and John (Lynne) Greiner of Boone, IA; sister in laws, Sheryl Greiner of Fairfield, IA and Val Greiner of Montana; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Ron and Steve Greiner.
