Kenneth L. Hensel, 66 of Clay Center, KS formally of Washington, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Clay Center Hospital following declining health.
Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with Pastor Julie Poulsen of the United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 PM. Memorials may be designated to Big Lakes Development Center in Manhattan, KS.
Kenneth was born July 19, 1941 in Ottumwa, IA the son of M. Clinton Sr. and Mary E. (Leon) Hensel. He graduated from Washington High School in 1959, Drake University with a Bachelor of Science and received his Masters Degree in Business from the University of Missouri. He was united in marriage to Jane A. Chalupa, June 5, 1970 in Washington.
He served in the United States Air Force and was a corporate accountant for several companies in Iowa, Alabama, Texas and Kansas.
Survivors include daughter Susan M. Hensel of Manhattan, KS, son Dan Fenn and wife Deb of Waterville, IA; brothers, Mark C. Hensel Jr. and wife Dot of Arlington, TX and Fred Hensel and wife Deb of Washington; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Jane.
