Keith Connelly

August 12, 1930 — February 5, 2006

Keith LeRoy Connelly, 75 of Ainsworth died Sunday, February 05, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital following a short illness.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Ainsworth Community Church with Pastor Scott Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be in the Oregon Townships Cemetery with Military honors. Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. Memorials in the name of Keith Connelly may be designated to Hospice of Washington Co.

Keith was born August 12, 1930 in Bloomfield, IA the son of Myrle Henry and Hazel Fern (Waggner) Connelly. He served with the United States Air Force from 1947 till 1950. He was united in marriage to Helen Madsen November 10, 1951 in Kahoka, MO.

Keith and Helen live in Burlington, West Liberty and more recently in Ainsworth. He retired from Thatcher Plastics in Muscatine after twenty-nine years. Following retirement he worked at Kalona Plastics. Keith enjoyed family, gardening and flowers, pets, watching ball games and collecting fenton glass.

Survivors include his wife Helen of Ainsworth; sons, Robert Connelly and wife Laurel of Winfield, IA, Ronald Connelly and wife Karen of Washington and Gerald Hassler of Illinois; daughter Debra Sumpter and husband Larry of Solon, IA; brothers, John Connelly of Lodi, CA, Cecil Connelly of California, Myrle Jr. Connelly of Rolla MO and Robert Connelly of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters, Geraldine Savage of Missouri, Doris Young of Burlington, IA and Shirley Brockett of Oquawka, IL; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean.
