Kathleen E. “Tike” Clark, 94, of Davenport, formerly of Kalona and Wayland, died Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Manor Care – Utica Ridge, Davenport. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Memorial donations may be directed to the Kalona United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor’s choosing. The Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Kathleen Elizabeth (Jackson) “Tike” Clark was born July 13, 1925, in Mediapolis, Iowa, the daughter of A. A. and V. Viola (Walker) Jackson. She graduated from Wayland High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Burlington, with a RN degree. She worked as a nurse at various hospitals, including Henry County Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. On June 23, 1944, she was united in marriage to Thomas “Cal” Clark in Kalona, Iowa. Tike was a member of TTT and LNO in Wayland and the Kalona United Methodist Church. She enjoyed any handywork with material and thread, gardening, flowers and babies.
Survivors include her daughter Laura (Steve) Sinn of Eldridge, IA, Dave (Peg) Clark of Fairfield, IA, John (Sandie) Clark of Wayland, Joe (Rita) Clark of Eagan, MN, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law: Neia Jackson of Cedar Rapids and Ruth Stoops of Alamogordo, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tike in death were her parents, her husband Cal in 2009 and one brother Dean Jackson.
