June Blasingame

Visitation for June Blasingame, 71, of Wellman, Iowa will be held Saturday, January 30 from 5-7 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, Iowa. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 4 at the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens in Camp Hill, Alabama. Visitation will be held at the Langley Funeral Home in Camp Hill, Alabama on Wednesday evening, February 3, from 5-7PM and Thursday morning before the graveside service from 9-11AM. June Blasingame died Friday, January 29, 2010 at Parkview Manor in Wellman, Iowa following a long battle with cancer. June was born October 17, 1938 in Mitchel, Indiana, the daughter of Hillard and Goldie (York) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Gregory Blasingame in 1967 in Alabama. She was a member of the Full Gospel Revival Center in Kalona, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles and crossword puzzles. She is survived by one son, James Earl and wife Marianne Blasingame of Wellman, Iowa two granddaughters, Laura Ann June and Abigail Elizabeth Blasingame, one brother, Bill and wife Vicki Johnson of Fresco City, Alabama, and one sister, Kathy Maxy of Nebraska. Preceding June in death was her parents, husband Gregory on February 19, 1993 and three grandchildren, Austin, Erin and Miracle Blasingame. A general memorial fund has been established. Peterseim Funeral Home is handling the Iowa arrangements, Langley Funeral Home is handling Alabama arrangements.
