Julia A. Freyenberger, 85 of Wayland, died Sunday evening, February 16, 2002 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at the Eicher Immanuel Mennonite Church with Rev. Melvin Koehn officiating. Burial will be in the Eicher Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon till 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland. Tuesday evening the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 at the Eicher Immanuel Mennonite Church northeast of Wayland. Memorials in the name of Julia Freyenberger may be designated to the Parkview Home in Wayland or Eicher Music Fund.

Julia was born December 5, 1917 in Havre, IA the daughter of John and Martha (Koelher) Zieglowsky. She attended Havre School. She was united in marriage to William Freyenberger on September 1, 1938 at the St. Paul Evangelical Church in Washington.

She was a faithful and active member of the Eicher Immanuel Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and was involved with the Eicher Women’s Mission Society. Julia was a homemaker and janitor at the Church for twenty years.

Survivors include her husband William of Wayland; one son Jim Freyenberger and wife Denise of Wayland; two daughters, Evelyn Ruby and husband Ralph of Stockport, IA and Doris Aicher and husband Dean of Mt. Pleasant, IA; one brother, Ted Zieglowsky and wife Donna of Boston, MA; one sister, Martha Witthoft and husband Ralph of Washington; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl Zieglowsky, sister Marie Graber and granddaughter Teresa Ruby.
