Judith Leanne Slemmons, 63 of Washington, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital and Clinics following a short illness.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 AM Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Brighton First Church of God with Ryan Meader officiating. Burial will be in the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family present from 6-8:00 PM. Memorials in the name of Judith L. Slemmons may be designated to the Brighton First Church of God.
Judith was born June 15, 1944 in San Francisco, CA the daughter of Frank and Jearldine Lea (Dannaher) Trinco. She was united in marriage to James Edward Slemmons on September 20, 1979 in Iowa City, IA.
She was a member of the Brighton First Church of God, former member of the Navy Wives Club Overseas and a member of the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband James of Ainsworth, son Mc Cory James Slemmons of Coralville, IA; daughters Tamaraha Lynn Powell of Boonville, AR and Terysa Leanne Pitts Sharkey of Riverside, IA; Step-daughters Barbra Lynne Johnson of Davenport, IA and Susan Jennifer Bonser of Mt. Pleasant, IA; sister Aritha Mae Bibee of Washington; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
