Judith Holman

Memorial services for Judith Ann Holman, 68 of Wayland, formerly of Muskegon, MI, will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Independent Bible Church in Wayland, IA, with Pastor Bob Wolf officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Monday, June 28 at 1PM at the Calvary Church in Fruitport, MI, where the family will greet friends from noon until service time. A memorial fund has been established for the Calvary Baptist Academy.

Judith Ann Holman was born September 13, 1941 in Grand Haven, MI the daughter of Honor and Louise (Cardd) Holman. She attended Hanchett Rural School and graduated from Coopersville High School in Coopersville, MI. She attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Judy owned and operated her own drapery shop for 10 years and went on to teach children’s Bible clubs in Columbia, SC. From there she began teaching kindergarten at the Calvary Baptist Academy in Muskegon, MI for 27 years. She moved to Wayland, IA after retiring in 2009. Judy was a member of the Calvary Church in Muskegon, MI and the Independent Bible Church in Wayland, IA. She enjoyed reading, sewing, storytelling, visiting with people, traveling and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include three brothers, Carl (Lynne) Holman of Greenleaf, ID, Keith (Linda) Holman of Grand Rapids, MI, Jerry (Raynell) Holman of Chester, VA, one sister, Cathy (Robert) Wolf of Wayland, IA, and one sister in law, Lisa Holman of Spring Lake, MI.

Preceding Judy in death were her parents and two brothers, Jim and Kent Holman.
