Schultz, 74, of Iowa City, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short illness. There will be a celebration of life service Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh in Kalona, with Pastor Chuck Rogness officiating. A fellowship time will be held at Shiloh following the service. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the Shiloh Cemetery and Iowa Lions Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.peterseimfuneralhome.com. Jovon D. Schultz was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, April 20, 1933, the son of Joseph and Euphemia Murray Schultz. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Schultz served in the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Donna Osincup Austin January 3, 1998. Mr. Schultz was a refuse company owner and worked at Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of Shiloh Church, Iowa City Lions Club, American Power Boat Association, and the Elks Lodge in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Schultz is survived by his wife, Donna Austin Schultz, Iowa City; four children, Jennifer and husband Bob Reed of Marion, Iowa; Timothy and wife Cheri Schultz of Atkins, Iowa; Julie and husband David Golla of New Braunfels, Texas; Thomas and wife Angela Schultz of Cristoval, Texas; three stepchildren, Karen and husband Brian Tack of Iowa City; Kim and husband Chris Rettkowski of Renton, Washington; Keith and wife Angela Dunham of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, DeLane and Elaine Schultz of Atkins, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
