John Everett Rhodebeck, 67 of St. Louis, formally of the Keota and Washington area, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Life Care Center in Bridgeton, Mo.
Graveside services have been set for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Keota Cemetery with Pastor Rich Boyd and Pastor Jim Cluney officiating. Beatty Funeral Home of Washington is assisting with arrangements.
John was born August 2, 1938 at the family home five miles north of Keota, the son of Harold and Marie (Forney) Rhodebeck. He attended Pleasant Ridge School and later transferred to Keota Public School and graduated from there in 1955. John was united in marriage to Evelyn Morrison, they later divorced.
John began a computer consulting career by attending Dunwoody School in Minneapolis and worked for many companies in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri. He continued to attend classes and seminars throughout his career, even following his retirement in 2003. John was always willing to share his knowledge with others after retirement and he enjoyed traveling with his sister, Marilyn to visit family and friends.
Survivors include three children, Russell Rhodebeck of Mobile, AL, Paula Buivid and husband Joe of St. Louis and Kent Rhodebeck of Loxley, AL; sister Marilyn Williams of Cabool, MO and brother Delmer Rhodebeck of Troy, IL and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
