Jeannette Tackenberg, 76 of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, January 9, 2005 at the Great River Medical Center in Burlington.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Fr. Nick Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. A memorial in the name of Jeannette Tackenberg has been established.
Jeannette was born January 2, 1929 at New London, IA the daughter of Pearl and Roseetta VanTrump DeVol. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and Beauty School in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Tackenberg on July 13, 1953 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, IA.
She worked many years at the Colonial Beauty Shop and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Women’s Club.
Surviviors include her husband William of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters Andrea Wright and husband Dwayne and Dana Blow and husband Steve, both of New London, IA; son Eric Tackenberg and wife Julie of Wapello, IA and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and son Mark.
