Ivy Yoder

A celebration of life for Ivy Jane Yoder, 17 months, of Kalona, will be held Monday, October 11 at 11:00AM at the East Union Mennonite Church in rural Kalona, with Pastor Tammy Buseman officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10 from 3-7PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Ivy died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospital following a sudden illness.

Ivy was born April 7, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, the daughter of Trent A. and Tammy A. (Nordman) Yoder. She loved playing with the kitties, chasing the chickens, looking at books and singing. She was known as a fearless little girl.

Survivors include her parents, Trent and Tammy Yoder of Kalona, two brothers, Sam and Henry Yoder of Kalona, paternal grandmother, Jeanette Miller of Kalona, paternal grandfather, Jim and Rose Yoder of Baxter, TN, maternal grandparents, John and Beverly Nordman of Algona, IA, paternal great grandparents, Don and Pauline Miller of Kalona, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Ivy in death were her great grandparents, Wayne and Elizabeth Yoder, Harry and Lavern Lietz, Fern Lietz and Walter and Margaret Nordman.
