Herbert Nash

Funeral services for Herbert “Herb” Nash, 88, of Washington will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 2:00PM at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Robert LaMay officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until service time. A private graveside service will be held following the funeral. A general memorial fund has been established.

Herbert Thompson Nash was born in Carol County, Iowa the son of Elwood and Bertha (Dunsmore) Nash. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Morgan on December 17, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri.

Herb enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.

Survivors include special friend, Gladys Lowe of Washington, two sons and spouses, Brian and wife Joyce Nash of Washington, Ron and wife Sue Nash of Columbus, KS. two daughters, Brenda Nash and Lisa Robinson both of Wellman, daughter in law, Wanda Nash of Creston, IA, 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one brother Charles, four sisters, Luella, Stella, Hattie and Beatrice.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Marjorie on May 11, 2002, two sons, Bill Nash and Patrick Nash, two grandchildren, Theresa Nash and Shawndell Stockstell, four brothers, George, Omar, Lewis “Jake”, and Warren “Brit” Nash and two sisters, Mary Parsons and Gertrude Adrian.
