Grace Marie Wagamon, 94 of Washington formally of South English, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital following declining health.
Graveside Services have been set for 2:30 PM Sunday, June 28 2009 at the South English Cemetery with Pastor James Cluney officiating. Family visitation will be from Noon till 1:30 Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial in the name of Grace M. Wagamon has been established to the South English Fire Department.
Grace was born August 18, 1914 in Germanville, Iowa the daughter of Clark and Eva S. (Egli) Roberts. She was united in marriage to Doyle Wayne Wagamon.
Grace was a member of the South English Union Church, United Ladies Society and was a Church Board Member. She was a housewife and also worked as assistant manager for Roberts Grocery Store in South English. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing.
Survivors include her son Gary Robert Wagamon and wife Dixie of Hedrick, Iowa and daughter Peggy Lee LeFever and husband Fred of Washington; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyle in 1991, four brothers, Everett, Renals, Paul and LaRue; sisters, Vida Grove and Irene Cheney Moore and grandson Monty R. Wagamon.
