Geneva Wilma Genkinger, 91 of Washington, died, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her home in Washington.
Her body has been cremated and her Celebration of her Life will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. The family will receive friends 2 hours before the service. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to Hospice of Washington Co.
Geneva was born December 31, 1932, in Wayland, Iowa, the daughter of John Charlie and Maxine Belle (Jones) Turner. She was married to Warren Shafer, who she later divorced, and Keith Clark who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Jack Genkinger on October 12, 1999, in Las Vegas, NV.
She was employed at Thomas and Betts in Iowa City and Advance Ross for 20 years, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed hunting for old bottles with her siblings.
Survivors include her husband Jack of Washington; brothers Ben (Bert) Turner and Bill (Janice) Turner, both of Washington and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith Clark, brother John, sister Mary Malloy and nephew John.
