Freda May Aldrich, 86 of Davenport, formally of Wayland, IA died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Ridgecrest Village in Davenport.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Wayland United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Coffin officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be two hours prior to service at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland on Sunday. A Memorial in the name of Freda May Aldrich has been established to the North Hill Cemetery.
Freda was born November 25, 1917 in Trenton, IA the daughter of Benjamin and Della (Messer) Christner. She attended school in Washington. On October 15, 1940 she was united in marriage to Virgil Aldrich at Canton, MO, he preceded her in death in 1977.
She attended Wayland United Methodist Church. Freda and her husband owned and operated Aldrich Café in Wayland for thirty-five years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sharing candy to the children that came to the cafe. She had been with her daughter in Davenport the last six years.
Survivors include her daughter Donna Bushek of Davenport, IA; three grandchildren, Robert Bushek and wife Debra, Bobbi Goodwin and husband Jim and David Bushek and wife Kim; six great-grandchildren Carissa and Trent Lafrentz, Eric and Sarah Goodin, Sara Bushek, Carrie Goodin and fiancé Chris Marxen, Amelia Bushek and Roman Bushek and one great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Lafrentz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, two sisters and an infant sister.
