Francis H. Puffinbarger, 83 of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at Park Place in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral Services have been set 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Jeffrey Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Lambirth Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Lambirth Cemetery.
Francis was born July 27, 1921 in Fairfield, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Marie (Dickerson) Wright. She was united in marriage to Raymond Edward Puffinbarger on March 31, 1937 in Fairfield.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and formally attended the Round Prairie Baptist Church and Green Mound Church of God. While her husband was in the service she worked briefly as a waitress at the Black Cow Restaurant in Davenport. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and she enjoyed camping, baking, cooking and gardening. Her joy came from spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her son Donald Puffinbarger and wife Sharon of Dallas, IA; daughter Shirley Benge and husband Dillion of Mt. Pleasant; sister Violet Dasenzo of Pueblo, CO; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by his parents, husband Ray, brother Rex and sister Louise Wheeler.
