Flossie Janecek

Flossie Janecek, 93 of Washington, died Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Washington Care Center in Washington, following declining health.

Funeral services have been set for 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 3, 2005 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Nancy Renfro officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Thursday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. Memorials in the name of Flossie Janecek may be designated to Hospice of Washington County.

Flossie was born February 25, 1912 in Brighton, Iowa the daughter of Andy and Lida (Maitlen) Farrier. She was united in marriage to Frank Janecek November 4, 1930 at Fairfield, Iowa. They celebrated their 50th anniversary November 4, 1980.

Mrs. Janecek helped her husband on the farm and also worked as a cook at the Washington School System.

Survivors include two sons, George Janecek and wife Janet and Dale Janecek, both of Washington, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, February 9, 2000, brothers Marion, Lloyd, Harvey, Clarence, and Glen, sisters, Belva Knerr, Florence Sines and Warreta Farrier.
