A celebration of life for Fanny Miller, 97 of Kalona will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2:00PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with Chaplain David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday, January 12 th at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established. Fanny died Sunday, January 9, 2010 at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona where she had lived for the past two years.
Fanny Miller was born August 8, 1913 in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of John and Mary (Yoder) Miller. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, crocheting, playing dominos and listening to music.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann (Scott) Ferguson of Moravian Falls, NC, four sons, Jonas (Lillian) Miller of Upland,CA, Christian I. (Betty) Miller of Williamsburg, KY, Roman (Linda) Miller of Guernsey, IA, Chester (Katie) Miller of Central City, IA, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Preceding Fanny in death were her parents, one son, Oba I. Miller, one daughter, Irene Schultz, one grandson, Oren Miller, eight siblings, Anna Grinnell, Mattie Mast, Rhoda Stuzman, Moses, Christian, Daniel, Simeon and Jonas Yoder.
