Everett Davison

March 23, 1921 — April 16, 2008

Everett, 87 of Wayland, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 AM Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Linda Renken officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at Noon Friday at the Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials in the name of Everett Davison.

Everett Wesley Davison was born March 23, 1921 on the family farm in Washington Co. IA the son of Wm. Roy and Eva (Wagner) Davison. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Sheetz on March 5, 1943 in Aberdeen, Washington. He served in WWII with the US Coast Guard.

Everett was a member of the Wayland Methodist Church, Wayland Area Antique Tractor Club, Marion Township Trustee and the Bain-Hulme American Legion Post 401. He was a life long farmer and enjoyed fishing, boating, woodworking, played baritone in German bands, animals and was a nature and train enthusiast. He greatly treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie of Wayland, son David Davison of Brashear, MO; daughters Cheryl Dahlquist of Keota, IA and Margene Erlenbush and husband John of Ainsworth, IA; grandchildren, Brian Dahlquist and wife Juli of Long Beach, CA, Andy Dahlquist and wife Brooke of Belle Plaine, IA, Christi Sands and husband Josh of Ainsworth, IA, Ashley Johnson and husband Glenn of Edina, MO and Justin Davison and fiancé Hailey of Jefferson City, MO; great grandchildren, Jenna and Haley Sands, Addy and Caye Dahlquist, Brody Dahlquist, Kinsley Johnson and Gavin Davison and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell, sisters Lucille Watson and Rosa Bain and an infant son.
