Singing was a passion for Evelyn. She sang at weddings and funerals and was always singing around the house. She was a quiet servant taking meals or her cinnamon rolls to others, sitting beside grieving or lonely people, or sharing about her Jesus with anyone who would listen.
Evelyn had a strong work ethic and sacrificed much for her family’s needs. Her heart was always at home, where she longed to be with her family. Evelyn was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and grandma.
Proverbs 31 describes Evelyn. What a legacy and heritage she leaves behind! She will be sorely missed, but those who know Jesus personally will be joyfully reunited with her again one day for all eternity.
Evelyn donated her body to the University of Iowa Anatomy Department. Beatty Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements for Evelyn and her family. Family visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday December 2, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church in Washington. Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the church.
