Eva May Judd, 81, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, August 6, 2004 at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral Services have been set 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 9, 2004 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Danville. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. in the evening. Memorials in the name of Eva May Judd have been established to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Eva was born October 20, 1922 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Wiley and Zeta Mae Humbert, upon their death at a young age she was adopted by Clyde and Lola Bunker of Salem. She graduated from Salem School and was united in marriage to LaVerne Judd January 5, 1947 at the Salem Congregational Church.
Eva was a member of the Nazarene Church. She retired from the Henry County Health Care Center in 1987 where she was employed for many years. Her passions where cats, flowers and family.
Survivors include her husband LaVerne of Mt. Pleasant; six children, Maxine Nichols and husband Wayne of West Burlington, Nancy Landes of Mt. Pleasant, Bill Judd and wife Shirley of Mt. Pleasant, Martha Messer of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Judd of Mt. Pleasant and Tom Judd of West Burlington, IA; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
