Eva Mae Harrison, 91, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at the Henry County Health Center following a short illness.
Funeral Services have been set 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Jeffrey Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery. Open visitation will be from Noon till 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the church. Memorials in the name of Eva Mae Harrison have been established to the American Cancer Society.
Eva was born April 11, 1913 in West Grove, IA the daughter of Frank Everett and Allian La Rue (Johnson) Walker. She graduated from Bloomfield High School and was united in marriage to Otis V. Harrison December 22, 1935 at the Bloomfield Baptist Church. Otis preceded her in death April 25, 1981.
Eva attended Lincoln Street Baptist Church and retired from MHI where she was employed for many years. Her passions where crocheting, word searches, cooking and her family.
Survivors include seven children, Richard Harrison of Kirksville, MO, Bonnie Kienlen and husband Rich of Burlington, IA, Robert Harrison and wife Sharon of Hurdland, MO, Betty Hanneken and husband Leroy of Wellsville, MO, Ronald Harrison and wife Dianna of Troy, MO, Russell Harrison and wife Linda of Mt. Pleasant and Roger Harrison and wife Teri of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Ellen Goodwin of Bloomfield, IA and Irma Ridenour of Mt. Pleasant; thirty grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
