Edward “Bud” C. Schantz, 81 of Eldorado Springs, Mo formally of the Wayland area, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Monett Health Care Center in Monett, Missouri.
Funeral Services where held 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 18, 2005 at Peterson Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri. Burial was in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with full military honors.
Edward was born February 12, 1924 near Merrimac, southwest of Wayland, IA the son of Edward R. and Neoma (Christner) Schantz. He was united in marriage to Gladys Redman on December 5, 1945.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, a carpenter and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Edward Schantz and wife Micky of Fayetteville, NC and Joel Schantz and wife Debbie of Bend, OR; three daughters, Connie Shoemaker and husband Gary of Aurora, MO, Neoma Kreuter of Upland, CA, and Debbie Sinkula and husband Jeff of Green Bay, WI; three sisters, Francis Custer of Wayland, IA, Fannie VanSant of Wayland, IA and Esther Seagren of Dixon, IL; ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
