Donna Irene Smith, 65, of Washington, went home to glory on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at her home in Washington.



A Celebration of her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at the First Assembly of God Church in Washington with Pastor James Cluney officiating. Private family burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donna asked that donations be made to the First Assembly of God Church. Beatty Funeral Home of Washington is assisting the family.


Donna was born February 8, 1939 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Harry Hugo and Harriet Hazel (Slenger) Lundin. She was married in 1955 to Leonard Allan Williams of Chicago, they later divorced. They had four children. In 1966 she married Curtis Anthony Smith and had twins.


Donna attended Amundsen High School in Chicago and graduated from the Rochester Vocational Technical Institute in Rochester, Minnesota as a human services technician. Donna lived in Claremont, Minnesota, Loveland, Colorado and Rancho Cucamonga, California until she settled in Washington in 1998 to be close to her sister, Jackie Bower.


Donna is survived by four children, Paul Williams of Frederick, Colorado; Kevin Williams of Apple Valley, California; Kelly Thompson of Hesperia, California; and Karen Orehowsky of Alexandria, Virginia; sister Jackie Bower of Washington; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harry Edward; her husband, Curtis and their twins, Christopher Curtis and Jeanne Marie.
