Graveside services for Donald W. Gatlin, age 58, of Riverside formerly of Richmond with be Friday, Sept. 12, at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Richmond, IA.
There will be no visitation.
Donald Wayne Gatlin was born May 22, 1956, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Robert and Joan Whisler, Gatlin. He was married to Jane Rotenburger on August 29, 1975 in Fairfield, Iowa.
Don served in the United States Army from 1973 until 1982. He also had been employed in factory manufacturing and was a truck driver.
He enjoyed fishing and boating and time spent with family and friends.
Don is survived by his wife, Jane of Riverside, three children; Jeanny Gatllin, of Washington, Jeremy Gatlin (Veronica) of Cedar Rapids, and Samantha Gatlin of Washington, one granddaughter, Larissa Gatlin of Cedar Rapids, his mother Joan Gatlin of Ottumwa and one brother, James Gatlin of Ottumwa.
Don was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.
