Donald Lee Edwards, 64, of Ainsworth, died Saturday evening, November 12, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital.



Funeral Services have been set for 1:30 P.M. Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Scott Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Wednesday at the Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 in the evening. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home. A general memorial in the name of Donald Edwards has been established.


Mr. Edwards was born March 19, 1941 in Washington, Iowa the son of Floyd “Hap” Lloyd and Alice Arlen (Easter) Clement Edwards. He attended Ainsworth schools. On August 19, 1989 he was united in marriage to Anne Colleen Bradley (Miller) in Ainsworth.


He was a member of Ainsworth Community Church and the Masonic Lodge in Washington. He farmed, raised livestock and drove a truck. He enjoyed his animals and spending time with family, friends and especially his grandkids.


Survivors include his mother Alice of Ainsworth, is wife Anne of Ainsworth, children, Mark Edwards of Davenport, James (Gayle) Edwards of Washington, Donna (William) Streeter of Keota, Timothy (Tammi) Edwards of Wapello, Don Edwards and fiancée of Nicolette Smith of Keota, David Edwards and fiancée Tami Redden of Riverside, Todd (Denise) Miller of Kalona, Ted Miller of Washington and Greg (Josie) Miller of Shellsburg, IA; brothers, Richard Edward of Arizona and Robert (Cindy) Edwards of Congress, AZ; sister Betty Schrader of Mt. Pleasant; twenty-one grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, sister Ruth Drummond and step-son Bryan Miller.
