Dennis Keith Owens, 52 of Stockport, IA, died suddenly Saturday, January 25, 2003 at home.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at the Salem Friends Church in Salem the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 6-8:00 P.M. A memorial in the name of Dennis Keith Owens has been established.
Dennis was born February 26, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Bernard Witful and Wanda Alberta (Woods) Owens. On July 10, 1971 he was united in marriage to Linda Raker at the Nazarene Church in Mifflinburg, PN.
Dennis was employed with Heatilator, Benda-Looker Furniture, Blue Bird, Mt. Pleasant Utilities and began working for the Railroad early in his career. The last six years he was employed at the Wal Mart Distribution Center in Mt. Pleasant He enjoying fishing, hunting, bluegrass music, camping and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Linda of Stockport; two sons, Brian Owens and friend Patti of Morning Sun, IA and Shawn Owens and friend Lesley of Stockport, IA; one sister, Lana Zerby and husband Larry of Centerville, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary and infant daughter Lisa Jean.
