Della Mae Boshart, 85 of Wayland, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.
Her body has been cremated and Graveside Services have been set for 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Wayland Cemetery with Chuck Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland with family recieving friends from 5-7:00 PM. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Home in the name of Della Mae Boshart.
Della was born May 22, 1926 in Delmar, Iowa the daughter of Lincoln and Erma Caroline (Schenk) Jurgensen. She graduated from Delmar High School and the Iowa Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She was united in Marriage to James Boshart June 6, 1948.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wayland and the Wayland Museum. She came to Wayland to teach first grade at the Wayland Elementary School from 1945 till 1953. She later was a teller at the Wayland State Bank from 1967 till 1975.
Survivors include children, Janis Unternahrer (David) of Wayland, Edward Boshart (Loretta) of Carlsbad, CA; brother Verne Jurgensen (Virginia) of Ottumwa, IA; two grandchildren Steven and Sarah and three great-grandchildren Hannah, Lillee and Chase.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Aaron Boshart and niece Laura Jurgensen.
