Carol V. Stephens, 69 of Washington, formally of the Brighton area, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Washington Care Center in Washington.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland. Burial will be in the Eicher Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the Funeral Home in Wayland. Memorials may be designated to the Activity Department at the Washington Care Center.
Carol was born June 30, 1938 in Washington Co., Iowa the only child of Albert B. and Rosalyn M. (Bradford) Graber. She graduated from Olds High School and the Burlington School of Cosmetology. She was united in marriage to Vernon A. Stephens on June 13, 1959 at the Eicher Mennonite Church.
She was a member of the Eicher Mennonite Church. Carol and her husband were avid bowlers and received many trophies. She had been a resident of the Washington Care Center for the past 12 years.
Survivors include her brother-in-law Roger and Claudette Stephens of Richland, WA and sister-in-law Joyce Stephens of Coal Valley, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon March 7, 1996 and an infant son.
