He was the son of Michael and Beth (Marner) Escher. At birth Brandon was born with a serve heart problem that required numerous surgeries. Having the fighting spirit he had he was able to lead a fairly normal life style and graduate from Mid-Prairie High School in 2005. He then attended Kirkwood Community College for a year. He currently was employed at Wal-Mart Super Center in Coralville. Brandon was a member of the Kalona Mennonite Church and had been a Cub Scout in his youth. He enjoyed being with family and friends, hunting, fishing, visiting, four wheeling, and electronic games. His father Michael Escher, his mother Beth Escher both of Kalona, his sister, Chelsea Escher of Cedar Rapids, his brother Zach Escher of Kalona and his maternal grandparents, Phil and Dorothy Marner of Kalona, survives Brandon. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and many cousins. His paternal grandparents, Claude and Maxine Escher, preceded Brandon in death. A memorial in his name had been established for his family's choice. Brandon's family is very grateful for the many acts of love and kindness shown them during this time of their loss. Your prayers and sympathy will always be remembered.
