Beverly Margaret Stutzman

Beverly Margret Stutzman (77) of Columbus Junction Iowa, passed away on October 14, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Bethel Church in Wayland. The service will be available via Livestream on the Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home website, Facebook and YouTube pages. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 10 AM- 12 PM. A memorial fund has been established for YPN (Young Parents Network).

 Bev was born on October 28 in East Peoria, Illinois to parents Robert and May (Walker) Bourn. She attended high school in East Peoria before transferring to Hesston High School in Hesston, KS. While there she met her husband Gary, and they married in 1965. Bev was a stay-at-home mom for many years working beside her husband raising capons, turkeys, hogs & cattle. She went to work for NASDA and was proud of her 42 years of service as an enumerator and supervisor. If asked she would tell you she was most proud of her children & grandchildren. She loved to attend all of their events and to take care of everyone around her, often going out of her way to provide her cinnamon rolls & butter horns. Holidays were very important to Bev, 

and she always provided a Christmas stocking or Easter or Halloween bucket for each family member.

Bev is survived by her husband Gary Stutzman; son Greg (Julie Neal) Stutzman of Milan, IL, daughter Kim Vaughn of Mt. Vernon, daughter-in-law Renee Stutzman of Palo, IA; grandchildren Wade, Chase (Lacey), Beau, Maggie, Brenlyn, Conway, Cael Stutzman, Kyla Vaughn; Great granddaughters: Maven and Scout Stutzman; former daughter-in-law Krista Stutzman; siblings Bess(Leo) Desch, Betty Stauffer, Robert Bourn, Barb Hamilton, Dan (Rose) Bourn, Belinda Ernst; in-laws Judy Selzer, Pat (Larry) Leichty, Diane Lewis, Galen(Cheryl) Stutzman, Connie(Dan) Gammon, Pam (Bob) Graham, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

 She was preceded in death by father Robert Bourn, mother May Bourn, son Brian Stutzman—son-in-law Terry Vaughn, and three brothers-in-law: Larry Stauffer, Fritz Ernst and Robert Lewis.
