Betty L. Roth, 79 of Washington, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her home in Washington.
Funeral Services have been set for 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Bethel Mennonite Church with Pastor Duane Roth officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday at the Bethel Mennonite Church with family present from 6-8:00 PM. Beatty Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements. Memorials in the name of Betty Roth have been designated to the Bethel Mennonite Church or the Washington Community Y.
Betty was born November 28, 1929 in Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Claire D. and Lydia (Wyse) Boshart. She graduated from Wayland High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Owen Roth on December 19, 1948 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.
She was a faithful member of Bethel Mennonite Church, Pansy Hill Club and the Washington Community Y. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, baking cookies for grandchildren, getting together with the Wyse cousins and watching Cubs baseball.
Survivors include her husband Owen of Washington, three daughters Janice Roth of Noblesville, IN, Judy Yoder and husband Carroll of Wellman and Jolene Bearden and husband Osie of Parson, KS; brother Robert Boshart and wife Elaine of Frytown; five grandchildren Amanda Makula and husband Jeb, Carissa Yoder, Kyle Yoder, Billy Bearden and Bethany Leach and husband Nathan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Roy Boshart.
