Betty E. Mangold, 90 of Wellman, formally of the Dublin area, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Parkview Manor in Wellman.
Funeral Services have been set for 10:00 AM Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Rick Crooks officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon till 6:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home with family present from 2-4:00 PM in the afternoon. A general memorial in the name of Betty Mangold has been established.
Betty was born February 27, 1917 in Haskins, Iowa the daughter of Willie and Lillie (Barr) McCartney. She was united in marriage to Stanley Fredrick Mangold on March 13, 1940 in Sigourney, Iowa.
Betty was a cook for many years at the Washington Livestock Auction, homemaker and helped her husband Stanley on the farm. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, collecting owls and salt and pepper shakers.
Survivors include her husband Stanley of West Chester; children William Mangold and wife Connie of Sperry, Iowa, Richard Mangold and wife Linda of Washington and Kay Christner of West Chester; ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David and an infant sister.
