Betty Marie Davis, 68 of Wayland, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at her home in Wayland.
There are no services planned. Her body has been cremated and will be interred at a later date in Des Moines. Beatty Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.
Betty was born February 28, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Martha (Chandler) Lock. She was united in marriage to John Joseph Davis on March 30, 1956.
She lived most of her life in Des Moines as a homemaker, moving to her daughter’s home in Wayland in 2007.
Survivors include her children Robert Davis of Des Moines, Brenda Yoder and husband Edward of Wayland, Matthew Davis of Des Moines and Dorothy Kimmel and husband Donald of Des Moines; brother Sunny Lock of Arnolds Park, IA; sisters Beverly Hoops of Des Moines, Barbara Templeton of Des Moines and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John on August 8, 1992.
