Bertha Bessie Imhof Hauestein Brown, 99 of Livermore, California, formally of the Ainsworth area died Friday, November 28, 2003 in Livermore California.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Charles Visser and Rev. Don Johanson officiating. Private burial will be held prior to the service at the Fern Cliff Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Beatty Funeral Home of Washington is assisting with the arrangements. Memorials in the name of Bertha Brown may be designated to the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church.
Bertha was born September 13, 1904 in Ainsworth, Iowa the daughter of Albert and Mary Hauenstein. She was united in marriage to Arnold Brown in 1932.
She was a faithful member of Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church. Along with her husband they operated Brown Hardware Store in Ainsworth for many years. She moved to be with her daughter in California in 1990.
Survivors include son Hugh Brown of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Marlene Boring of Livermore, CA and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Willard, sister Lily and daughter Lona Brown.
