A celebration of life for Avery M. McCoy, 17 month old, of Riverside, IA., will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Visitation will be held Friday, November 18 from 5 – 7- pm at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established. Avery McCoy died suddenly Wednesday, November 9 at her home in Riverside.
Avery was born May 31, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, the daughter of Anthony McCoy and Ambrashia Chrzan. She enjoyed riding in her wagon, having her picture taken and playing with her older brother and sister.
Survivors include her parents, Anthony McCoy and Ambrashia Chrzan of Riverside, 11 siblings: Amarii, Lamont, Montavias, Nevaeh, Dakest, Ayonie, Amayah, Anthony III, Anthony Jr., Anica, Adriel, maternal grandparents Kimberly (Nolan) Decker of Riverside, paternal grandparents Maxine Gladney and Lamont Rogers of Chicago, maternal great grandparents: Kay and Craig Rathje of Cedar Rapids, John Decker of Coralville, Deloris McCoy of Chicago, maternal great great grandfather John Decker of Kalona, aunts and uncles: Tristan and Dillon Decker, David Chrzan, Rebecca Asher, Keishi and Tishi Chrzan, Ebony McCoy, Shante Adieze, Lariah Woodson, Lamont Woodson and Marcus Clayton, a number of great aunts and uncles and cousins.
Preceding Avery in death was a brother Dakarai, maternal great grandparents Doyle and Donna Spencer and Francis and Diane Chrzan, paternal grandfather William McCoy, and an uncle Lorenzo Rogers.
