Anna Mae Huffer, 74 Ames, Iowa, formally of Wayland died Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Rolling Green Village in Nevada, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday December 14, 2002 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church south of Wayland with Rev. Roger Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. Friday, December 13, 2002 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland with family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Memorials may be designated to the Ames Church of the Nazarene.
Anna was born March 9, 1928 in Wayland the daughter of Henry and Elsie Mae (Wenger) Graber. On June 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to Orion M. Huffer in Iowa City, IA.
She attended Ames Church of the Nazarene. Anna was a 1946 graduate of Wayland High School and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She was a homemaker for several years before working at the registrar office at Iowa State University and Ames High School. She enjoyed piano, organ, sewing, traveling and her family.
Survivors include her husband Orion of Ames; daughter Carol Buhr and husband Orlin of Marion, IA; brother Warren Graber and wife Dorothy of Mt. Pleasant, IA; one grandson Brian Buhr and wife Monica of San Diego, CA; one granddaughter, Nataly Buhr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Dorothy Tidwell.
