Alice L. Tait, 87 of Washington died Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the McCreedy Home in Washington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 1, 2004 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Rev. Ed O’Meila officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Open visitation will be from Noon till 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Memorials in the name of Alice Tait may be designated to the St. James Catholic Church.
Alice was born January 18, 1917 in Ottumwa, Ia the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Mullin) Johnson. She graduated from Newton High School and was united in marriage to Clifford Tait November 17, 1946 in Newton, IA.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Women’s VFW Auxiliary. She was employed for several years at McCleery Cummings in Washington and also raised her family. Alice enjoyed flowers and cats.
Surviving her is her son Michael Tait of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clifford October 10, 1998.
