Alice Marie Lewis, 89 of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Oakland Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A general memorial has been established in her name.
Alice was born February 15, 1913 in the Mt. Pleasant, Iowa the daughter of Walter E. and Anna (Raines) Blythe. Alice was united in marriage to George W. Lewis in Chicago, IL. She lived in Chicago most of her life returning to Mt. Pleasant in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Lewis of Sierra Vista, AZ and James Lewis and wife Peggy of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren and one brother George Blythe of Stratford, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.
