Alice Marie Brock, 54 of Washington, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home following a battle with cancer.
Celebration of her life will be 4:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Beatty Funeral Home. Visitation will be from4-7:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Following the Service on Friday her body will be cremated. In Lieu of flowers a general memorial in the name of Alice Brock has been established at the funeral home.
Alice was born October 17, 1955 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of James I. and Evelyn J. (Blodget) Lewis. She attended Washington High School and was united in marriage to Randy Brock on August 29, 1998 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.
Her hobbies included fishing, bowling, spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being a waitress at the Frontier Restaurant.
Survivors include her husband Randy of Washington, children Katherine Oldham and husband Curtis of Atlanta, GA, William Wilkerson Jr. and wife Heidi of Riverside, IA and Kori Rich and husband Neil of Hills, IA; step-children Matt Brock and wife Courtney of Washington, Jason Brock and wife Jennifer of Lawrence, KS Anthony Brock and Andrew Brock , both of Washington; brother Max Lewis and wife Carolyn of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters Helen Lewis of Des Moines, IA Nellie Helfrich and husband Charles of Washington and Judy Lewis of Burlington, IA; eleven grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
