Arnold Dean Tucker was born January 2, 1955, in Washington, Iowa the son of Arnold and Ruth (Neff) Tucker.  He graduated from Washington High School in 1974.  He was united in marriage to Donna Escher on May 25, 1974 in Riverside, Iowa.  Dean was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Dean was employed as a mechanic/groundskeeper at the University of Iowa for 30 years.  He enjoyed farming, collecting Oliver tractors and toy tractors, raising cattle, and traveling.  He devoted his life to his family, spending as much time as he could with them.  He also enjoyed visiting with friends, and no one was a stranger.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his smiling face.

Survivors are his wife, Donna, three daughters, Penny Beuter of Ely, Jennifer and Matt Sebetka of Ely and Tamara and Greg Buchmayer of Iowa City.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Megan and Morgan Beuter, Matalyn, Abby and Curtis Sebetka.  Other survivors include three sisters, Janet and Joe Martin of Washington, Joan Tucker of Newton, and Jeannie and Chon Villarreal of Del Rio, Tx.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Hardison.

A general memorial fund has been established.
