Michael “Mike” J. Roth, 43 of Washington, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital.
Funeral Services have been set for 2:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Pam Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the Fern Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 Saturday afternoon at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family present from 2-4:00 PM. Memorials in the name of Mike J. Roth may be designated to Camp Reece or the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church.
Mike was born April 25, 1966 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Paul and Kay (Hubbs) Roth. He graduated from Waco High School in 1984.
He attended Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church and was employed at the Riverside Casino for the last three years. He had previously been employed with the Washington County Hospital for thirteen years.
He enjoyed fishing with his father and was an avid Hawkeye and Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his parents Paul and Kay of Wayland, IA; Paternal Grandmother Doris L. Roth of Mt. Pleasant; special friend Sharon Albright and several Aunts and Uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Opal Hubbs and paternal grandfather John H. Roth.
